About halfway through June, Microsoft invited the press and technology bloggers to a mysterious event which was held in Los Angeles. It was the first time since Longhorn that Microsoft has generated actual excitement.

On Friday, in order to gain Hispanic votes for the upcoming November election, President Obama announced that he would be relaxing deportation rules for young illegals brought here by their parents, allowing them to stay in the country and work – potentially causing 800,000 illegal immigrants in the next two years to stay in the country without deportation. This has sparked a heavy debate among Republicans in Congress and was embraced by Hispanics nationwide.
