I think I'm failing to grasp the strengths of this unit. I never really see pillaging as overly useful. On one hand, if youre invading to conquer, you don't want to pillage because it will damage the land you intend to keep. I also don't see a purpose in DOWing for the purpose of pillaging because of the negative diplo penalty. If youre DOW'd without wanting the war, I would imagine you would just turtle up until the AI lost interest, and the pillaging doesn't come in handy. Regarding the faith, that is useful early on to get your pantheon, and to help speed up the founding of a religion. I don't think you would get too much really since you need 600 for a religion, and youre getting around 10 faith per kill, each kill will give you under 2% towards that goal. I suppose it would stack nicely with the culture from honor for barb kills. The foreign lands bonus is nice though 20% in foreign lands to facilitate early rushes. Am I missing something here?

The first point under realism is that of the English analyst Greenwood: no matter how stringent the controls, there will always be enough guns in any society that anyone determined to have a gun will be able to do so, whether for crime or self-defense. Thus, after nearly 80 years of ever more stringently administered state handgun ban, New York City police estimate the number of illegally owned guns there at 2-3 million. Anti-gun crusaders attribute this to the fact that handguns are legally obtained in most other states. But even in peaceful England where very few people think it urgent to have a gun for self-defense, Greenwood has shown that the number of guns illegally smuggled in off-sets the number confiscated yearly. In other words, 70 years of ever more strictly administered ban has not even diminished the illegal gunstock.

Many gun-control advocates, and particularly advocates of a total gun ban, would like to see the United States become more like Canada, where there are far fewer guns per capita and where most guns must be registered with the federal government. The Canadian approach to firearms ownership has many attractions—the country’s firearm homicide rate is one-sixth that of the U.S. But barring a decision by the American people and their legislators to remove the right to bear arms from the Constitution, arguing for applying the Canadian approach in the U.S. is useless.

Singed and Cass have incredible synergy that only gets better as the game goes on. First of all, Singed's Poison Trail procs Cassiopeia's Twin Fang , allowing her to spam the ability at poisoned enemies. Singed's Mega Adhesive not only makes it harder for those enemies to get away, but also makes it much easier for Cass to land her Noxious Blast and Miasma . Singed and Nocturne have some of the greatest ambush potential ever. Just hide in the bushes at the beginning of the game and if a single enemy gets close, first blood is almost assured. Nocturne's Duskbringer and Singed's Fling are very effective for preventing escapes and can lock down opponents at record speeds, making this a great combo when hunting down enemies. Vi might seem like an unusual laning partner for Singed, but her short range mobility is great for securing kills when enemies push too far. A good Fling from Singed followed by Vi's Vault Breaker is difficult to recover from at best. Using Exhaust prior to this combo will weaken the target's armor and magic resist with the bonus from your offensive masteries and make it even more difficult for an enemy to escape afterwards.

Religions can be customized and developed from a simple pantheon to a modern religion by selecting "Beliefs" that offer specific benefits. You choose Beliefs from a pool (of about 50), and they are unique; choosing a Belief makes it unavailable to any other Religions in that game. A religion may accrue up to a total of five Beliefs over time (though the Byzantines have the special ability to unlock a bonus sixth Belief).

Texas state Rep. Suzanna Gratia-Hupp is recognized worldwide as one of the leading advocates for an individual's right to carry a concealed firearm. Several years ago, while testifying in opposition to additional gun control legislation, she related the emotional account of how she lost both of her parents to a lone gunman in 1991. At the time of the attack, Texas did not allow private citizens to carry concealed. Let me make sure that you understand. I'm not here representing the NRA. I'm not even a member, OK? Secondly, I'd like to say, that in your opening statements, you commented specifically on my testimony saying that basically it had nothing to do with this issue and I had to chuckle because then I noticed he had Mr. Brady up here who was hit, not with an assault weapon, but with a .22 caliber revolver. So, getting beyond that, I didn't grow up in a house with guns. I don't hunt. I personally abhor hunting, but I was given a gun by a friend when I was 21, to carry in my purse for self-defense. And I was taught how to use it . . .
